Pi Prostate Intelligence
Prostate Intelligence™ (Pi) is software to assist analysis of MRI for suspected prostate cancer.

Overview
Pi is designed to process MRI scans of the prostate, to support analysis for suspected prostate cancer.
It uses a combination of image processing, deep and machine learning methods, to segment the prostate, identify regions of interest, and calculate risk scores.
These outputs may be considered by the radiologist to determine whether to recommend a biopsy.
Features
The Pi Software software has two options:
1. PI-Contrast operates on multi-parametric MRI examinations of the prostate, which include dynamic contrast enhanced sequences.
2. PI-Fast operates on fast (bi-parametric) MRI examinations of the prostate.- Both options use MRI data acquired according to the 2019 Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System version 2.1 (PI-RADS®v2.1) specifications.
- It's intended purpose is the output of candidate prostate segmentation, identification of regions of interest and provision of risk scores.
Benefits
Prostate Intelligence™ aims to:
- Improve patient selection/prioritisation for biopsy by outputting a risk score aiming for both high negative predictive value (NPV) and specificity. This could be used to reduce unnecessary biopsies and overdiagnosis of insignificant cancers.
- Provide high quality segmentations to support visualisation, analysis and biopsy targeting.
- The generated segmentations compare well to human expert annotations, to support visualisation, analysis and biopsy targeting
