Company Overview

CoLumbo’s solution is an AI assistant software for the interpretation of lumbar spine MRI scans. They conducted clinical trials in multiple European hospitals and in medical centers in the USA. As a result, CoLumbo has obtained a CE mark certification and an FDA 510(K) and TGA clearance, making CoLumbo a fully approved AI solution for L-spine MRI images for clinical use in the USA, Europe and Australia.

CoLumbo is part of SmartSoft Healthcare (SSHC) which is a spin-off company of SmartSoft (SS), a firm with multiple successful products in the financial and accounting industry. The medical advisory board (MAB) of CoLumbo includes prominent radiology professionals, such as Dr. Lawrence Tanenbaum, Dr. Douglas Beall and Prof. Johan Van Goethem. CoLumbo’s goal is to become the “go-to” AI solution for spine MRI interpretation worldwide. Their mission is to lift the weight of manual MRI scans interpretation from radiologists and to provide them with the necessary bandwidth for better patient care.
