A vertebral compression fracture (VCF) happens when one or more vertebrae in the spine collapse or fracture due to weakened bones, often linked to conditions like osteoporosis, where bone density is decreases.

CINA-VCF is a preventative tool in bone health, designed to help radiologists identify and report VCFs, ensuring effective patient risk management. 
This triage and notification software detects unexpected VCF findings in patients undergoing CT scans for any clinical indication, including those of the chest and abdomen.

  • Aims to opportunistically detect suspected Vertebral Compression Fracture (VCF) on CT acquisition where thoracic and/or lumbar vertebra are visible (at least 3 consecutives vertebras visible).
  • Intended to be used for adults aged 50 years and over, undergoing non-enhanced/ contrast-enhanced CT scans, including the chest and/or abdomen.
