Imaging AI specialist icometrix marked international MS Day with a [campaign](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9Niwe-4SS8) that stressed the importance of reaching out and collaborating to accelerate research by contributing to collective intelligence. The company’s employee, Roberto Paolella, who has MS, appeared as a guest on [The MSGuide video blog](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qncwh2prLQ) where he gave an inspirational testimonial. Enhanced imaging AI firm **Qure.ai** [announced](https://qure.ai/news/2021/06/16/qure-ais-brain-ct-ai-wins-funding-from-the-nhs.html) it had received an award from the UK government to implement its AI technology at NHS hospitals. Dr. Haris Shuaib, head of clinical scientific computing at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust said, “With the qER system from Qure we hope to be able to manage critical findings like intracranial hemorrhage even more effectively.” Visualization and analytical solutions developer **Imaging Biometrics** released a new version of its IB Software, including a new parameter map within IB Neuro “percent signal recovery” (PSR) and improved appearance of all output maps. The company was also awarded a patent for IB Zero G – an AI technology that eliminates the need for gadolinium based contrast agents (GBCAs) on MRI exams. And finally, lung analysis firm **VIDA** was featured in a [major study](https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.05.27.21257944v1) of long COVID, showing that air trapping is present in many patients with post-acute sequelae of COVID-19, independent of initial infection severity.
